Account Setup

Creating Your Account

Step 1: Registration

  1. Visit archeway.net and click "Get Started"
  2. Choose either email registration or Google OAuth
  3. Complete your profile information
  4. Verify your email address

Step 2: Profile Setup

  1. Add your name and university information
  2. Set your graduation date and major
  3. Upload a professional profile picture (optional)
  4. Configure notification preferences

Your First Application

Adding Your First Job Application

Navigate to Applications

Click on "Applications" in your dashboard or main navigation menu.

Click "Add New Application"

Look for the prominent blue button to start adding your application.

Fill in Application Details

Complete the application form with:

  • Company name
  • Position title
  • Application date
  • Job posting URL (optional)
  • Application deadline
  • Notes and requirements

Set Initial Status

Choose the current status (Applied, In Review, Interview Scheduled, etc.)

Add Tags (Optional)

Tag your application with relevant categories like "Remote", "Startup", "Fortune 500", etc.

Editing Application Details

To modify an existing application:

  1. Find the application in your list
  2. Click on the application card or the "Edit" button
  3. Update any information as needed
  4. Save your changes

Deleting Applications

Caution: Deleting an application is permanent and cannot be undone. Consider archiving instead if you want to keep the data for reference.

Updating Status

  1. Click on the status badge of any application
  2. Select the new status from the dropdown
  3. Add optional notes about the status change
  4. Status will be updated automatically with timestamp

Setting Application Deadlines

Keep track of important dates to never miss an opportunity:

Adding Deadlines

  1. When creating or editing an application, look for the "Deadline" field
  2. Click on the date picker to select your deadline
  3. Set optional reminders (1 day, 3 days, 1 week before)
  4. Deadlines will appear in your calendar view

Adding Tags to Applications

  1. In the application form, find the "Tags" section
  2. Type to search existing tags or create new ones
  3. Select multiple tags by clicking or pressing Enter
  4. Tags will appear as colored badges on your application cards

How to Export

  1. Go to your Applications page
  2. Click the "Export" button in the top right
  3. Choose your export format (CSV or PDF)

  5. Download will begin automatically

Delete Account

Account Deletion Warning

Deleting your account is a permanent action that cannot be undone. All of your data will be permanently removed from our servers.

What will be deleted:

  • All job applications and their details
  • Progress analytics and statistics
  • Profile information and preferences
  • Calendar events and reminders
  • Custom tags and organization
  • Account settings and data

Before You Delete Your Account

Export Your Data

Download a backup of your applications and progress data before deletion.

Consider Deactivation

You can deactivate your account temporarily if you just need a break.

Contact Support

Reach out if you're having issues - we might be able to help without deletion.

How to Delete Your Account

  1. Go to Settings > Account Settings
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page
  3. Click "Delete Account" in the danger zone
  4. Enter your password to confirm
  5. Type "DELETE" to confirm the action
  6. Your account will be scheduled for deletion within 30 seconds after request but it may take up to 1 minute

Grace Period: You have until the first of the next month to change your mind. Contact support within this window to restore your account.

Troubleshooting

Login Issues

Can't Remember Password

  1. Go to the login page
  2. Click "Forgot Password?"
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Check your email for reset instructions
  5. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder

Account Locked

If your account is locked due to multiple failed login attempts, wait 15 minutes before trying again or contact support.

Google OAuth Issues

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies
  • Try logging in with an incognito/private window
  • Ensure popup blockers are disabled
  • Check if you're logged into the correct Google account

Performance Issues

Slow Loading

  • Check your internet connection

Changes Not Saving

If your changes aren't being saved:

  • Check your internet connection

  • Look in the archived applications section
  • Verify you're logged into the correct account

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't I see my calendar events?

Make sure you've added deadlines and interview dates to your applications. Calendar events are automatically generated from application data.

How do I bulk update application statuses?

Select multiple applications using the checkboxes, then use the "Bulk Actions" dropdown to update statuses, add tags, or perform other operations.

Can I import data from other tools?

Currently we do not support data imports, but we are working on this feature for the future.

Why aren't I receiving email notifications?

Check your notification preferences in Settings and ensure our emails aren't going to your spam folder. Add archeway.net to your email whitelist.

How can I share my progress with career counselors?

Export your data as a PDF report or CSV file, or use the share feature to generate a temporary view-only link to your dashboard.

Is my data secure and private?

Yes! We use industry-standard encryption and security measures. Your data is never shared with third parties. Read our Privacy Policy for complete details.
